            Thomas Webb and Sons Bronze vase

          Offered here for sale is a small Bronze vase by the Stourbridge company of Thomas Webb and Sons using a
          technique developed by them in the late nineteenth century and first exhibited at the Paris Exhibition in
          1878. An iridescent finish was produced by putting the article in a fume chamber and exposing it to the fumes
          of molten tin and other salts with the result of a permanent iridescence reminiscent of that of ancient Roman
          glass. The base colour is green and the crackle or 'brain' effect was obtained by dipping the glass into cold
          water then reheating and blowing it into the desired shape. The result was such that the glass was called
          'Brain' glass.This is a small vase measuring just 8 cm high with a diameter of 8 cm at its widest part and the
          condition is excellent.

            Sowerby Art Deco 'Elephant' bowl

          This is an 'Elephant' bowl/centrepiece by Sowerby of Gateshead pattern no.2614 in pink and is so called
          because of its handles which are shaped like elephants' heads and trunks, the ears being flattened onto the
          bowl itself. The bowl measures approximately 9 cm in height, 27 cm in width, including the handles and 23 cm
          in depth.Sadly, one of the elephants has suffered damage to its mouth, the tip having been broken, as you can
          see magnified in the last photo. This is reflected in the price. Otherwise, the bowl is in good order.

            Mdina goblet with applied Maltese cross

          A very unusual Mdina goblet with an applied Maltese cross signed Mdina Glass 1976 and a slightly coloured
          knop. The goblet is 16 cm high and 10 cm in diameter at its widest point. It is in excellent condition.

            Italian Art Glass Lamp

          This is what we believe to be a lamp by Cenedese, although when we bought it many years ago we were told it
          was by Seguso. The quality of the glass is superb and the detail of the fish amazing. The colours glow even
          when it is not lit and the fish appears alive in its red, seaweedy world. The metalwork is also excellent as
          one would expect on an item of this calibre. There might be a signature under the green baize of the back
          plate but we have not tried to investigate and maybe risk damaging it as it is so obviously a piece of the
          finest quality. The lamp weighs approximately 2390 grams, is 18 cm in height, 20 in width and 10 cm in depth.
          The condition is excellent.

            Kosta Boda 'October' vase by Kjell Engman

          The 'October' vase designed by Kjell Engman for Kosta Boda is part of a series of vases and bowls. This one
          has a pattern of birds and trees above a green landscape running right round the vase. It is signed and
          numbered to the baseIt weighs 979 grams and is approximately 23 cm in height and 12 cm in diameter and is in
          excellent condition apart from one manufacturing bubble among the trees and a 2mm fleabite to the top rim
          which I have only just spotted!

            Teign Valley Paperweight

          An unusual paperweight from the Devon glass studio, Teign Valley. The frosted globe has one facet cut to show
          an internal orb of turquoise from which silvery bubbles seem to spiral upwards. The weight retains its
          original transparent label on the faceted side. It measures approximately 7 cm in diameter and is quite heavy
          for its size - 542 grams.

            Caithness 'Luckenbooth' Paperweight

          Luckenbooth is as Scottish symbol of love, taking its name from the mediaeval booths along the Royal Mile in
          Edinburgh which sold trinkets mainly of gold and silver. This paperweight was designed by Colin Terris and
          issued in 1989. Two hearts of millefiori canes sit above a ground of swirls of pink within a ring of canes. It
          measures approximately 8 cm in diameter and 7 cm in height. The condition is excellent bar a shallow mark to
          the base.

            Caithness 'Samarkand' perfume bottle -limited edition.

          Caithness 'Samarkand' perfume bottle designed by Colin Terris and issued in a limited edition in 1981. This is
          number 22 of 150. It comes in a fitted box which is a little worn on the outside but perfect inside.This is an
          exotic looking perfume bottle with swirls of pink rising from a bubble at the bottom to an inky purple at the
          top. The has matching swirls and a gently rounded finial. Apart from on small scratch to the side which is
          barely noticeable, it is in excellent condition.It weighs 850 grams and 1236 with the box. It is approximately
          16 cm high and 9 cm in diameter at its widest point. The box is 22cm x 14cm x 11cm.

            Four goblets by Adrian Sankey

          Here are four wine glasses or goblets by the British art glass maker, Adrian Sankey, who works in the Lake
          District. The glasses are elegant in design but sturdy, with clear bowls and stems of blue and purple twists.
          Each glass measures approximately 17 cm in height with a diameter of 8 cm at the rim and bears a partial
          sticker. Each is in excellent condition. The price is for the four.There is a water jug in the same pattern on
          a separate listing.

            A Touch of Glass scent bottle

          This iridescent gold scent bottle was made by Chris Lucas of the Isle of Wight company of A Touch of Glass,
          now no longer in production. It measures approximately 15 cm in height and 6.5 cm at its widest point. It
          bears its original label to the base and is in excellent condition.

            George Elliott Goblet

          This beautiful goblet was made by George Elliott, one of the pioneers of English studio glass, who had his
          studio in Bewdley Museum, near Dudley until his death in 1993. The goblet measures approximately 18 cm in
          height and the bowl is 6 cm in diameter. The feathered pattern is quite typical of George Elliott's work but
          the colours are more unusual. It has a well-proportioned stem and knop, weighs about 765 grams, has a rough
          pontil and is signed to the base.. The condition is excellent with a few tiny inclusions to the foot which
          would have been present from time of making.

            Art Nouveau iridescent vase with dragonfly collar

          This Austrian Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) green iridescent vase has had a hard life. The dragonflies that make up
          its metal collar have suffered damage to their tails in the last one hundred and something years and there are
          several inclusions in the glass but the iridescence is good and there are no chips or scratches to the glass.
          The great firm of Loetz made a similar vase but this is probably made by one of the other companies who were
          working at the time, Kralik or Stolze, maybe. It is 13 cm in height with a base diameter of 15 cm. Don't let
          the damage to the dragonflies put you off! - this is a piece with great charm.

            Murano Geode bowl by Galliano Ferro

          A sommerso bowl by Galliano Ferro using uranium glass for the internal layer. An exotic 70s style biomorphic
          design which is very hard to photograph! The glass is extremely thick and the huge dimples reflect the light.
          Anything more likely to bring that period to mind is hard to imagine.The bowl is in excellent condition. It
          weighs a massive 1700 grams which is a lot for a bowl only 8 cm high and approximately 13 cm across.

            1930s Opalescent charger by Simonet Freres, France

          This is a large opalescent plate or charger, approximately 31 cm in diameter and 6 cm in depth, which we
          believe to be by the French firm of Simonet Freres who mainly made light fittings. It has a pattern of
          stylised leaves and flowers with a good opalescence, is signed 'France' to the base and is supported on three
          feet which are an integral part of the design. The condition is very good apart from a couple of tiny nicks to
          the rim, the largest of which I have attempted to catch in the last photo.

            Perthshire 5 spoke concentric millefiori paperweight

          This medium Perthshire PP60 5 spiral twist millefiori paperweight has a tiny central 'P' cane. It has a
          translucent blue ground and a single top facet, the pink and orange cogs being separated by green and white
          radial twists inside a garland of red and white twists within an outer ring of pale green cog canes. That may
          sound garish but the whole effect is very subdued and elegant. The base is concave to the centre.It weighs 265
          grams and measures approximately 3.75 cm in height and 6 cm in diameter.It is in excellent condition.

            Jalovec -Encyclopedia of Violin Makers in 2 vols.

          The Karel Jalovec encyclopedia of Violin Makers is the essential encyclopedia for anyone interested in
          stringed instruments. This comes in two volumes published by Paul Hamlyn in 1968 and contains 195
          illustrations in black and white and 24 in colour. It is in English and contains sections on tools of the
          violin maker, parts of the violin, stringed instruments of the world and an alphabetical list of makers.The
          condition is very good with the spines intact and the corners good. There is some damage to the dust jackets
          as can be seen in the photos. The colour plates are protected by tissue guards.

            Kosta asymmetrical bowl in deep red and clear glass

          A heavy asymmetrical bowl designed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta in the 1950s or 60s. The deep rusty red gives
          way to clear glass in this thick walled bowl. It weighs a hefty 1218 grams for a bowl that is only 12 cm in
          diameter and 8 cm in height. It is signed Kosta LH 1442 to the base and is in excellent condition.

            Kosta asymmetrical bowl by Vicke Lindstrand

          This asymmetrical bowl was designed for Kosta in 1955/6. Light blue feathers of glass are trapped within a
          thick clear bowl in this wonderful design by the great Vicke Lindstrand.It weighs 842 grams and is
          approximately 9 cm high and 14cm in diameter. It is signed to the base LH1148 and is in excellent condition.
        
            A Flygsfors 'Coquille' bowl by Paul Kedelv

          This 'Coquille' bowl was designed by Paul Kedelv for the Swedish company, Flygsfors in the 1950s. It is very
          heavy - weighing over 2 kg - and is a deep purple cased in white.It is in excellent condition with only the
          usual age-related wear to the base. It is approximately 28 cm in length, 11 cm in height and 16 cm in depth.

            Czech 1930s malachite glass perfume bottle

          This Czech malachite glass perfume bottle was made in the 1930s and depicts cherubs surrounded by flowers and
          fruit. The moulding is crisp and the detail very clear. There are two nibbles to the stopper and one to the
          mould mark halfway down the side but otherwise it is in excellent condition given its age.It weighs 326 grams
          and is 16.5 cm in height, 9 cm across at its widest point and 4 cm deep.It is one of a small selection of
          Czech malachite glass that I have for sale.

            Glasform Goblet

          This is a rich cobalt blue goblet from the Glasform studio of John Ditchfield, which is to be found in the
          North West of England, not far from Blackpool and Lytham St Annes. It measures approximately 17.5 cm in height
          with a diameter of 9 cm at the rim and apart from a couple of bubbles within the glass, which I have attempted
          to show in the last two photos, the condition is excellent, it having had a single owner - me.

            Walter Hamma - Italian Violin Makers

          This encyclopedia of Italian Violin Makers was written by Walter Hamma in 1931 and this edition was first
          brought out in 1964. It contains detailed illustrations of more than 300 fine violins by 140 Italian master
          violin makers.The condition is very good; the spine and corners are intact and there is just some damage to
          the dust jacket. It is protected by an outer cardboard cover.

            Lalique 'Algues' plate in black

          A black glass plate in the 'Algues' or Seaweed pattern, also known as the Tree of Life, by the world-renown
          French firm of Lalique. This was made after the death of Rene Lalique in 1945 so bears the script signature of
          'lalique France' which I have tried - and failed - to photograph. The plate measures 28 cm in diameter and is
          in excellent condition bar a couple of scuffs to the base.Two plates are available, each in excellent
          condition.

            Czech 1930s malachite glass perfume bottle with oriental scene

          This small scent bottle in malachite glass was made in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. It has oriental scenes in
          cameo to either side and a delicate metal ferrule surrounding a smooth malachite top. The original glass
          dropper is intact and you can still smell perfume.It weighs only 70 grams and is 7 cm in height 6 cm in width
          and 2.5 cm deep. All measurements are approximate.It is one of a small selection of malachite glass that we
          have for sale.

            French Art Deco vase signed JEM

          An Art Deco vase signed JEM which is thought to be one of the signatures used by the French firm Legras. It
          shows a flight of swallows (?) above a lake in muted colours.The vase is in excellent condition, only having
          one faint round inclusion below the wing of the main bird. It weighs 490 grams, is 23.5 cm in height and
          tapers from about 11 cm in diameter to 8 cm at the top.

            Okra signed 'Blue Ayrum' vase

          This 'Blue Ayrum' vase was designed by Richard Golding for Okra Glass, the company which he founded in 1979.
          The vase is in a brilliant, iridescent blues, golds and purples. It measures approximately 13.5 cm in diameter
          and 8 cm in height and comes with its original box. The condition is excellent.

            Okra perfume atomiser in the 'Honesty' pattern

          This is an atomiser perfume bottle by Okra Glass in the 'Honesty' pattern, signed to the base and in excellent
          condition. The pearly body is decorated with iridescent patterns of blue and green below a gold-coloured top
          and black woven tube,puffer and tassle, all in good order. It stands approximately 12 cm high with a diameter
          of 8 cm at its widest point and is in working condition.

            Czech vase with dancing Girls

          This vase is from the great period of Czech or Bohemian glass blowing. A vibrant red, a deeper red than shows
          in the photos I think, it shows five different girls dancing on the grass while birds and insects fly around
          them. It is exuberant and fun and nicely made. The vase weighs 456 grams and is approximately 15 cm in height
          and 15 cm in diameter at its widest point. It is in very good condition with a few scuffs to the base as would
          be expected.

            Mike Hunter, Twists Glass 'Pod' vase

          This unusual vase was made by Mike Hunter of the Twists Glass studio in Selkirk, Scotland. It has canes of
          white and a pale lemon yellow and measures 24 cm in height and 13 cm in width. It is signed to the base, dated

            This Elliott of London clock is in white onyx with malachite decoration. The movement is housed in chrome
